Thanks to the generous donations from church members and friends, FPC Newton was awarded Top Fund Raising Team $3,543 ($1,443 more than our church raised in 2016 Hunger Walk). Congratulations to Stephen Lewis,Jr. who achieved Eagle Scout during worship service. Stephen has been involved in Troop 903 at First Presbyterian Church Newton since he was 6 years old. Stephen has been active in church activities throughout his 18 year.
Parents and youth, Please make this a family priority for this Sunday, October 15th. This is a very important event to make our youth aware of hunger in Eastern North Carolina. I was disappointed in our youth participation last year even though our church was the largest fund raiser. Invite your friends to walk and participate with you. Pick up a packet at church, The Corner Table or ECCCM this week or grab one Sunday morning and stand in the narthex to get donations. Ray
