Susan Strickland- 17 Years of Music Ministry at FPC Newton
Susan Strickland, our organist for 17 years, will retire Easter Sunday. We will miss her ministry of music here at FPC. We thank her and her family for 17 years of faithful service to our music ministry program.
MUSIC
Chancel Choir
This group rehearses each Wednesday night to prepare for weekly worship services. They participate in 10:00 a.m. Worship with anthems and leadership in the singing of congregational hymns. Also, the choir participates in other special services throughout the year.
Handbell Ensemble
This group rehearses each Sunday night and share their music at 10:00 a.m. worship several times a year. Also, this group participates in other special services throughout the year.

Instrumental solos and ensembles
Members share their talents during worship services using trumpet, guitar, drums, flute, dulcimer, banjo, and other instruments throughout the year.
A.W.E- Alternative Worship Experience Musicians
This group meets on Thursday nights preparing music to share in worship at our 10:00 a.m. A.W.E. worship service that takes place quarterly.
