Several members of the First Presbyterian Church- Newton demonstrated how they made stoves for homes in Guatemala while on their mission trip this past July. One of the leading causes of death in Guatemala is respiratory illness. Most families cook on an open fire burning plastics and materials other than wood.

Thanks to the Joplin family for hosting the event. This stove will be transported to the Global Village at Camp Grier Presbyterian Church Camp to educate people about third world countries.
