A Busy Day for FPC Youth
First Presbyterian Church- Newton Middle School and High School Youth had a very busy Third Sunday in Advent- December 17th. Early morning for two of our youth who got up to work with the Men of the Church to prepare Congregational Breakfast. Also up early were our youth who were instrumentalist for Lessons and Carols. Matthew's Market opened with donations totaling $4,830 ($135 higher than in 2016). Three youth brought in the Advent Candles and two other youth provided a liturgical interpretation of the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary. Later that afternoon, FPC Youth and adults prepared, served and cleaned up Sunday Community Supper for those in the community that needed a hot meal and fellowship.
So blessed to have an active youth fellowship at our church!
